Tatiana Suarez vs. Amanda Lemos added to growing UFC 298 lineup

Strawweights Tatiana Suarez and Amanda Lemos will clash in a key matchup just added to the growing UFC 298 card set for Feb. 17 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.

UFC officials announced the pairing along with the current fight card set for the February pay-per-view.

Undefeated with a perfect 10-0 record, Suarez looks to cement herself as the No. 1 contender in the division when she returns to action in the New Year. Since returning from a neck injury that kept her sidelined for nearly four years, Suarez has rattled off two wins in a row including an impressive submission win over ex-strawweight champion Jessica Andrade in August.

As for Lemos, she’ll look to bounce back after falling to reigning UFC strawweight champion Zhang Weili in a lopsided decision at UFC 292 in August. Prior to that loss, Lemos had scored finishes over Marina Rodriguez and Michelle Waterson.

Now Lemos faces Suarez in a pivotal matchup at 115 pounds in February.

UFC 299 will be headlined by a featherweight title fight as Alexander Volkanovski puts his belt on the line against surging contender Ilia Topuria. The current co-main event will see former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo take on Merab Dvalishvili in a potential No. 1 contender’s bout at bantamweight.

The full UFC 298 card has not been finalized yet but here’s the current lineup:
